Compliance & acceptance

Our KYC policy

To protect the safety and reliability of Herengracht 449A, we apply the same know-your-customer checks to every company – local, national or international.

Herengracht in Amsterdam
  • One acceptance standard for everyone
  • Local, national or international
  • Careful review before an address is used

Why KYC

What is know-your-customer, and why do we apply it?

Know-your-customer (KYC) means that for every application we check who the company is, what it does, and what the address will be used for.

Herengracht 449A is used as a business address by multiple companies at the same time. Careful review beforehand protects the safety, reliability and reputation of that location for everyone registered there.

  • Consistent criteria for every application
  • No exceptions based on company size or origin
  • Part of responsible business practice

Same standard

One review, regardless of where you are based

Wherever your company is established, we check every application against the same points.

Local businesses

Entrepreneurs from Amsterdam and the surrounding area go through the same review as any other application.

National companies

Companies based elsewhere in the Netherlands are assessed against identical criteria, with no exceptions.

International applications

An application from abroad is possible, but the documents required and registration options depend on your legal form, business activities and connection to the Netherlands. We assess our own services; the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) decides independently on registration in the Trade Register.

Ongoing due diligence

Even after acceptance, we may ask for additional information if the situation calls for it.

The review

What do we check in an application?

Not every company or business activity can be accepted without question.

We look at, among other things, the legal form, the people involved, the business activities and the intended use of the address. Depending on your situation we may ask for additional identification or company documents.

  • Legal form and people involved
  • Business activities
  • Intended use of the address
  • Identification and company documents where needed

Why this matters

One standard protects everyone at this address

When we assess every application the same way, Herengracht 449A stays an address entrepreneurs can rely on – including when clients, banks or authorities encounter the address of another registered company.

That keeps the location suitable for genuine businesses, whether you are just starting out, have been active for years, or are expanding to Amsterdam from abroad.
